Driving along 3rd ave is already unbearable anytime during the day. We don't need anymore people here." this is almost the exact definition of NIMBY. NY is estimated to grow by an additional million people in 15 years. You would have them all move to NJ where they won't pay NY taxes or income taxes and still use our roads and work in NY City. You may not be able to continue to drive down 3rd avenue as all those people us alternatives as the roads elsewhere stack up. Cleaning up the Gowanus and its surrounding areas will cost millions. If you had it your way it still would be a swamp and we would be heating with coal. I do have an issue if the drawings were deceptive, but I think that is more a way to show the height in the eye of the beholder. Would be you be happier with seven stories buildings all around the block? probably not...

Oh, and is anyone surprised the event in question is filled with a bunch of selfish old geezers? I'm so glad the stock market is tanking, they will retire in poverty! I cannot wait until we are free of these cursed baby boomer scum.

OMG! 85 feet instead of 125 feet! The world is coming to an end! We want single story industrial buildings for life! These nibmys in Carroll Gardens are disgusting. What would Greenwich Village look like today if people protested the 200+ foot apartment houses that were built there before people decided the wanted NYC to be Kansas? This is BLOCKS away from anything remotely historic. It's a friggin' industrial park next to a Lowes for god's sake!
