who are the councilmembers against term limits? people are praising barron over on the NYT blog, he won't run again even if it's overturned.

"Referendum!!! Let the people decide for once, they're tired of being cut out of the loop at every level of government." This is literally the first time, and probably the last time I will ever agree with Ides of March. I give props to Liu, James, Deblasio, and the other Councilmembers who are digging their heels in on this crap.

The reason they are delaying the vote may be because Mayor Bloomberg and his checkbook are in London. Charles Barron may have given New Yorkers some incite on the way things have been operating at City Hall with this comment in today's NYT: “Many of them (Barron is speaking of Council members) are extremely influenced by the mayor. A lot of them got money from the mayor for voting the way the mayor wants them to vote.
