To kick off the weekend, Richard Simmons visited the team of folks participating in the movie-watching marathon (check out Crazy Legs Conti!). Simmons served up some "heart-healthy energy foods" and taught them how to do exercises while seated in their lounge chairs. Since Thursday the eight contestants have been slackin' off and watching flicks in an attempt to break a world record, and take home some cash.
So far, 50 or so movies have been watched, and several competitors have been cut...including New York's very own couch potato. The Daily News reports "Jerry Cavallaro, 20, of Staten Island was bounced from a movie-watching championship in Times Square Sunday morning after he looked away from the screen." For those who hold out until Tuesday, the final movie, Thelma & Louise, will be delivered by Susan Sarandon herself!

I was just there trying to distract suresh. They were watching Moulin Rouge. Goddamn torture if you ask me.
Is it just me or does Simmons look kind of pudgy?
Simmons went from six pack abs to 1/4 keg abs in the last few years. Leave him alone, he's happy.
Meanwhile what's with all this Susan Sarandon hype I've seen lately? I was introduced to her about three years ago at a little league baseball game in the village and a thing of beauty she ain't. Nice enough woman but she's nothing like Sophia Loren when Sophia was her age.
Maybe in a few years, Richard Simmons will be touring nursing homes to show stroke stricken and comatose patients how to move their eyelids 'to the oldies' and burn off some of that feeding tube fat.
Simmons NEVER had six pack abs! Even at his best shape he looked like an average joe schmo. Any exercise more intense than sweating to the oldies will probably give me a heart attack. Considering his clients are mostly obese women and men, he looks like an adonis compare to them.
I meant give "him" a heart attack, and maybe give me a heart attack watching him prancing around in his short shorts.
What a schmuck. . .
"Thelma and Louise?" Are they trying to kill these people?
