  • Giants 44 Seattle 6: New York took control of the game with their opening series and never looked back as they destroyed Seattle on Sunday. Starting with the ball on their own nine, it took only four plays for the Giants to lead 7-0 after Eli Manning connected with Domenik Hixon on a 32-yard strike. The Giants scored on their first six drives of the game, not even punting until about 10 minutes remained in the third quarter.

Hopefully, Plaxico Burress was paying attention to this effort because the team didn’t miss him at all. Hixon had four catches for 102 yards and added a 15-yard rush before leaving with a concussion. Sinorice Moss took his place and caught two more touchdowns. “Earth, Wind and Fire” had a great game as the trio combined for over 200 yards on the ground with Jacobs getting 136 of them. All in all, it was a great day at the Meadowlands.

  • Rangers 2 Tampa Bay 1: The trip to the Czech Republic was a huge success as the Rangers leave Europe with four points in their back pocket. Wade Redden got his first goal of the season and added an assist on a goal by Scott Gomez. Henrik Lundqvist was solid in net again and New York outshot Tampa 39-13. The Rangers are off until Friday when they play their first “real” home game at MSG against Chicago.
