Tomorrow night Tina Fey will be on the SNL set again doing her best Sarah Palin, but this time it won't be Amy Poehler by her side. TMZ is reporting that "Queen Latifah is getting in the middle of the Sarah Palin/Joe Biden VP debate by portraying last night's moderator, PBS journalist Gwen Ifill." Speaking of the debate, did you catch this Republican raise her hand for an Obama vote at the post-vice-presidential debate CNN focus group? SNL writers: work that in to tomorrow's show! Note: this weekend's host is Anne Hathaway, with musical group The Killers.

Thank god they are finally hiring people of color to play people of color...
Note to SNL casting: Not all black people look alike. Nor do all Asian people. Sheesh.
Remember when SNL used to be funny 30 years ago? SNL is now a propaganda machine for the neo-libs. The show is packed with no talents who try to develop a character that can be made into a movie. Junk TV for junk people.
Nah...Use Latifah to portray Michelle Obama. why not ? She's getting paid...
Latifah is perfect. Or as perfect as they can find. And not all black roles are played by black people -- Obama is being paid by a South American hispanic man. They just choose people for the closeness of their basic physiognomy, plus, of course, their drawing power. Plus, for all you know, Latifah had a say in it. I don't think she was drafted against her will.
I think SNL is still funny. I think people who think SNL was funnier 30 years ago are showing how aged they are -- you're pining for your good ole days, eh? Well there are no good ole days: I saw SNL 30 years ago, and it was funny sometimes and lame sometimes. I saw SNL last week and it was funny sometimes and lame sometimes.
Maybe you just had more of a sense of humor 30 years ago?
cucarachita, No, I don't pine for the 'good old days' because the best of times are now. If you acutally enjoy watching TV on a Saturday night maybe you should try to get out more often, eh? Maybe you have been raised on a steady diet of bad TV sitcoms so you can appreciate low brow humor.
