It's a comment on American greed, retards. It's a play on 'Let the eat cake': "The context in which it is attributed to Marie Antoinette is that of the French Revolution, during a famine caused by a bread shortage. Upon being alerted by a messenger that her people were starving due to having little bread to eat, she is said to have replied "Let them eat cake..." Now that Wall Street is going to shit, the rats on the stock market floor are stuffing their money into their briefcases and bailing, taking a 'Let them eat crack' outlook on the lower classes. The umbrella and tie are merely the stereotypes of a business man, so as to drive in the fact that the rat represents Wall Street scum.

That is so incredible. I'm lost for words. It should be landmarked along with the waterfalls in the East River. Perhaps it could be combined with them, and the assemblage shipped to Mound City, Iowa. But I have to admit this one looks a bit more Banksyish. If whoever's doing it keeps practicing they might get it.

Rfive you are 100% correct. Kind of like a faded 1870's Baldwin Belting sign on the side of a brick wall that is exposed for about two weeks before they put up another building next door. My great grandchildren will just pee in their pants when they see it exposed in 2088. I'm not into deviant sexual practices, so I still don't get the "let them eat crack" line. Slang terminology doesn't last more than a half generation. So the people in 2088 will have the same question that I have, what does "let them eat crack" mean? Is it a play on cheap cocaine versus real cocaine? Is the umbrella suppose to be a parachute?
