Yesterday morning, a guard taking $330,000 to a Dunbar Armored van from the M&T Bank at 1st Avenue and 23rd Street was held up by a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt. According to WNBC, the guard, Janell Nelson, 22, did notice the man in the bank's vestibule: "As she went to the bank entrance he pounced from behind, put his arm around her chest and grabbed her handgun." They struggled and the robber managed to take the bag of money. The Armored Car's driver saw the robbery, but the Post reports he "is under orders not to leave the vehicle." The Daily News says cops are seeing if it was an inside job. The suspect is in his 20s-30s, around 5'10" and 230 pounds. A source also told the Post, "It was a pretty good robbery."

Isn't the bank at 1st ave and 23rd street a Washington Mutual? Is there an M&T there also?
A 22-year old female is an armored van guard, damn! Take pretty young to be protecting thousands of dollars.
