Perhaps because the blog runs as a continuous roll, instead of a self-contained, individual 'edition', it isn't a pun at all. The posts that appear early in the day are in 'addition' to the previous evening's posts. I've wondered about this myself, and will continue to do so...

@maryba- I agree. Maybe if there weren't so many spelling and grammar errors in every Gothamist post, I could accept the pun. Calling it "Early Addition" just looks like another example of Gothamist not being able to spell properly.

This has always bothered me: Shouldn't it be "Early Edition," not "Early Addition"?
