This has always bothered me: Shouldn't it be "Early Edition," not "Early Addition"?

Oooooh that desperate housewifery raises my hackles all right. I would have punched her in the face if I'd been there.

Yeah, that's what I figured. But it's a terrible pun, so why bother?

@maryba- I agree. Maybe if there weren't so many spelling and grammar errors in every Gothamist post, I could accept the pun. Calling it "Early Addition" just looks like another example of Gothamist not being able to spell properly.

Can someone explain to me how it is a pun? I like puns. A lot. And I have never understood this one.

The article about the sign was very amusing.

Perhaps because the blog runs as a continuous roll, instead of a self-contained, individual 'edition', it isn't a pun at all. The posts that appear early in the day are in 'addition' to the previous evening's posts.

I've wondered about this myself, and will continue to do so...

It was an "addition" when we added it six months ago to our line-up of posts.
