Actually, the GOP attacked Clinton up and down as having no experience and only being the governor of a small state. Then they go ahead and nominate this chick. At least Clinton was a Rhodes scholar who had actually been outside of North America, instead of a yahoo U of Idaho (her fifth college) grad who never had a friggin' passport.

ides_of_march, the lack of experience accusation is only a knee-jerk reaction. the reason liberal are objecting to her candidacy is because she's batshit crazy. she believes in jesus-lizards and said that creationism would ideally be part of the public school curriculum she's opposed to abortion in all cases including rape and incest she belives abstinence-only education and that's just to name only a few issues!

IDES: it's not that she's being mocked for having no experience; it's arguable that nobody since Bush 1 had any FP experience. She's being mocked (rightfully so IMO) for claiming that she DOES have experience because her state is next to Russia.

Wow, that CBS interview was so much worse that I thought it could possibly be. I love in the very beginning when, asked a follow-up question, she stammers out virtually the exact same sentence, complete with pseudo-spontaneous "I would hope that that's the case..." And the "People are watching what John McCain is going to do, not Barack Obama." Yeah, you WISH. Can you make it any more obvious that the "let's suspend campaigning and get back to DC" move is just a pathetic stunt?

She's capable enough to get elected (and succeed on some level) to mayoral and gubernatorial positions, which seems to indicate that she's not a total fool. But you wouldn't know it from these interviews. She's got the GWB mixture of "I don't know, and screw you for asking, smartass", attitude down pat. Her experience don't seem to have prepared her to think about any of these national and international questions beyond a set of hastily memorized, snarkily/shakily delivered talking points. Either she's nervous and can't perform under pressure, or hates the media so much she doesn't think they (and by extension, we) deserve real answers.
