Place three folding chairs at a subway platform and it's an "installation piece". Maybe I'll replace a few urinal cakes around town and call it the fucking Mona Lisa.

For those saying that it's "fucking lazy" to want a goddamn seat, you probably have mostly sedentary jobs. What about manual laborers or laborers in general that have to stand/walk/run all day? It fucking sucks hauling ass all day to have to spend another hour or hour-and-a-half on your feet just to get home.

There's another group, called The Sit Project, that does a similar thing for bus shelters around the city. They were featured in the Conflux Festival this year. I'm all for it...as long as the seats are bedbug free!

#10, the idea is seats that could be locked into an unusable "up" position during rush hours, and likely only on some cars on some lines. Of course another possible reply to your post would be reprise #5: "can we get any more fucking lazy?" But I suppose wanting to sit while on the train is not only defensible but expected. Sitting while waiting for a train is "fucking lazy."

please tell me they aren't actually taking the seats of the the cars. I live in brooklyn and work on the upper east side. Do you have any idea how much it would suck to stand for an hour all the way to work. What am i paying $80 a month for? Seriously Fuck the MTA. If this happens i will just buy a car and drive to work.

That's the trouble with America, people wanting to sit down while doing nothing but waiting. A strong nation's people would want to stand while doing nothing!

It's gonna be awesome when some hoodlum just throws the chairs on the tracks thus causing numerous service delays and/or track fires. just awesome.
