David Blaine Caught Standing!

blainestanding.jpgDavid Blaine spending 60 hours suspended upside down over Central Park's Wollman Rink just got even less interesting! While being lowered closer to the ground in order to chat with fans still falls within the rulebook, his medical exams have him standing upright on his own two feet! One spectator caught him and now there's photographic evidence! Well, if you want to suspend (heh) disbelief for a while and ignore the cheats, you can now join Blaine for a few minutes--his "expert stunt team has arranged for fans to take the David Blaine Challenge by safely hanging upside down for a minute or two, Tuesday, 3 - 11 p.m., Central Park’s Wollman Rink."

(what are you people talking about)

this man's "tricks" are less and less impressive

I'm on my couch with my laptop "hanging upside down" as we speak.

Yaaaaaaay I'm a stunt person!

I had pictures of this yesterday afternoon too. He was on the ground with a black umbrella over him for a good half hour before he was raised back up. Then he stuck to the crane for another 15 mins before being tossed upside down again.

Guess he can't handle it so they've had to adapt the stunt.

Booooooooooooorrrrrrriiiinnnnngggggg. Wake me up when he starts doing some real "magic."

Now I'm going over to my bookshelf -- or as I like to refer to it: "Burying myself alive in a transparent coffin!"

Yawwwwn.

and i was gonna go look at the hanging turd...
NO MO

how often are the checkups

All guano and no Bat.

I've been hanging upside-down now for 9 months ..on my mortgage!

BADA-BING!

His legs are cramping, his back aches, his eyes are swollen & blood-shot, he hasn't eaten for 10 days to prepare for this "stunt". And yes, he goes up on the crane every few hours for medical check-ups, to take in fluids, and to secure the catheter.

So what if it isn't a "pure" 60 hours. I'll cheer for David Blaine because he's testing the limits and endurance of his mind and body.

We're all sitting on our asses boo-hooing while the man's doing something interesting with his life.

Go hang yourself upsidedown haters!

^
He's taking standing breaks and commenting on Gothamist? Aw, man!

Once I ran a marathon in 1hr and 50mns, setting a stunning world record. I did that in 100 meter increments over the course of a month; but come on people, you're not gonna be sticklers, are you?!

^^
he's making $ directly or indirectly by hanging like a dingleberry

while the most of us sweat and get cursed and stress everyday for shit money.

yeah. f*ck Dingleberry Blaine, he put the rope around the wrong end.

Looks like even Bat Boy went to cheer him on:

definitely no mind explosion.

>>while the man's doing something interesting with his life.

Um, I don't know what make me laugh harder: "interesting" or "doing something with is life".
