45,700 LEGO Pieces for LEGO Yankee Stadium

We may be bidding farewell to Yankee Stadium, but there is a new (old) Yankee Stadium emerging: LEGO artist Sean Kenney, along with help from a grade schooler, has been working on a replica of the stadium for the past few years. He writes, "It will be complete in the next few months; these preview photos give you an in-progress look at the sculpture. The sculpture is 5 feet wide and 5 feet long, built to an approximate scale of 1:150."

Kenney designed the awesome Brick Apple--and check out his LEGO version of Greenwich Village and his Empire State Building is on display at the real Empire State Building.

This guy needs a girlfriend URGENTE.

Uh, the guy gets paid to play with lego - and he's the one with no grip? Puhleeeease. Beats working in a cubicle.

Sean Kenney's feeling of accomplishment was short lived as he spent another night, masturbating in the shower...

...alone

I agree with spoon - getting to build with Legos is pretty awesome.

To the guys making the "he needs a girlfriend" and the "he needs a job" comments: guess what, fools. He has a girlfriend, and that IS his job, which pays him well into the six figures. Can you top that? I don't think so.

it's awesome! I'll be his freakin girlfriend!

Great to hear that Sean's still doing these amazing Lego creations... I wasn't sure if he was still doing them after not seeing an update on The Brick Apple for a while.

And to the hecklers: Seriously, get a life. The guy's doing something he loves.
