SNL Bids Its Farewell to Yankee Stadium
Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live is not likely to get people talking nearly as much as last week's heavily hyped season premiere that opened with Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. The McCain ticket was again the satirical target of the opening sketch with Darrell Hammond playing McCain as reluctant but desperate to go along with any and all untruthful claims about Barack Obama in his ads, including one that made Charles Barkley the butt of an SNL joke for the second straight week.
Other highlights were Fred Armisen as American Apparel's lecherous head Dov Charney and the clip below where Armisen takes on Martin Scorsese along with Amy Poehler as Rosie Perez saying good bye to Yankee Stadium.

My favorite McCain Approved messages were "Obama cuts taxes on pedophiles" and "Obama fathered two legitimate black children IN wedlock"

Interesting. You failed to mention the skit showing the NY Times as filled with elitist reporters who've never outside of Manhattan, LA or the Hamptoms. They were hellbent on publisihing any vile alegation against Sarah Palin (Incest!) but when asked to go to Alaska couldn't give up their therapists or take-out Thai.
The Gothamist staff probably found that skit hitting too close to home.

@jchez -- I loved that skit! It was hilarious, esp. the questions of polar bear attacks. Unfortunately, that clip wasn't online.

More Palin, Fey!
"...And I can see Russia from my house!"

Solid episode last night. The OJ jury selection sketch was also funny as was Jon Heder's impression of William Defoe.
The random faux promo for Penny Marshall's show was a good laugh too.

to jackdonaghy:
the comedian who played willem dafoe is named bill hader, not jon heder.
