Strong (and Mixed) Feelings Over Anti-Iran Rally Mess

2008_09_clinhl.jpgAfter Hillary Clinton bowed out of an anti-Iran rally, which prompted organizers to disinvite Sarah Palin, some people are upset. WCBS 2 reports that the disinvitation was "the result of intense pressure from Democrats"--and it meant all politicians were disinvited, including City Councilman Dov Hikind who said, "This is insulting. This is embarrassing, especially to Gov. Palin, to me and I think it should be to every single New Yorker." Last night, at the State of Israel Bonds dinner where Clinton said, "We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons," the Observer found Iranian Jews split over her decision to skip the rally. And Representative Anthony Weiner weighed in, too, "I don’t believe this was a grand conspiracy. It was a complete mess by the organizers. It got too political. The casualty here? Me."

Irains most powerful missle can travel 1304 miles. America is 6121 miles from Iran.

Iran is NOT a threat to America

Its a threat to Israel, and seeing as the Israelis themselves already have nuclear weapons its hilarious that they think they have a right to deny them to Iran.

What does it say about the state of American politics when we can't even agree we are against a nuclear Iran?

#6, because there are international treaties on the dumping of toxic waste. They should just be encased in concrete & buried in some special facility, NOW!

Why don't we load all these whiny politicos on a plane and drop them on Iran?

"Dov Hikind who said, 'This is insulting' ..."

The only insult here is the pandering to special interests.

This is getting ridiculous. I really think these politicians who appear at other-state sponsored events & make inflammatory statements against a third states or US should be required to register as agents/lobbyists for a foreign power, not representatives of the United States.

Please make the bad lady(ies) go away, head hurt!
