to [1] - Just to set the record straight, NYC stole the cow art idea from Chicago. In fact, the first public art exhibit of cows was in Chicago. http://www.chicagotraveler.com/cows_on_parade.htm (I can understand the cow exhibit in Chicago because it was once a major stockyard, but cows in New York City??)
