NYC Waterfalls Get White Rapper Treatment

They've turned the trees brown, they've swallowed kayakers, they've sparked a "meh" heard round the world. Now Olafur Eliasson's four waterfall installations on the East River have something else to add to their legacy: another pair of white dudes have been inspired to rap.

At least this one gets points for weirdness. A homage/parody of Eliasson's ambitious installations (he froze a BMW, created a sun at Tate Modern), the video by Modern Jackass features a German-sounding duo dropping ego rhymes from art-star Olafur's P.O.V., calling out New Yorkers for their ingratitude. Sample lyric: "No flowers. No card?! No thanks. I should Cloverfield your shit with both of Denmark's tanks." It's Friday, just watch.

I liked the plastic cows better.

If the water falls weren't so fucking lame people might have cared.

Well that's 5 minutes and 57 seconds I'll never get back.

to [1] - Just to set the record straight, NYC stole the cow art idea from Chicago. In fact, the first public art exhibit of cows was in Chicago.

(I can understand the cow exhibit in Chicago because it was once a major stockyard, but cows in New York City??)

what a bunch of wet blankets

that's was decently funny, sharks on cocaine?

nothing better than kickin' euro artists to the curb

This confirms my theory that those waterfalls are urine.

That video was way more entertaining than the actual waterfalls. What a waste of money and energy.
