- Katie Holmes's Broadway debut had visitors like Dustin Hoffman and her husband Tom Cruise, as well as Scientology protestors.
- And Brooklyn blog Gowanus Lounge announced it has stopped publishing for an indefinite amount of time.

Since when has Dustin Hoffman been married to Tom Cruise? Does Hoffman's wife know?
Years ago I was walking my dog on either E 21st or 22nd Streets and I spotted a guy and a good looking girl in an evening gown sort of pacing back and forth in front of an apt house near 3rd Ave. I decided to get a better look so I walked toward them and saw that they were both guys and one of them was trying to teach the other how to walk in high heels.
Does anyone know why Gowanus lounge stopped publishing?
Wait so in Sunset Park, as an artist, I could rent a little 15'x15' work studio for $2250/month and that's supposed to be cheap? Should I share this closet with three other artists or find some way to live in it?
Why wouldn't I just rent a giant loft in Bushwick or a brownstone in Crown Heights for $2/sq. ft.? Is that location down by the docks on Second Avenue near the Army Terminal really gonna make it worth my while?
bigandtall: GL has posted two semi-cryptic messages about why he/she has ceased publication. The bottom line is that he/she has "lost a very big supporter and source of inspiration and intellectual kinship." Whether that means a death, a break-up, a loss of financial support or that it's none of our business (it's funny how blogging seems to provide some people with an excuse to presume intimacy with total strangers), we may never know. GL is fine local blog. If publication is ceased, I'm sure others will expand to fill the niche.
Jen: you trumped me (comment #1, above) by adding the word "her" between "and" and "husband"
#1 lol
famdoc, yeah, I'm sure that something else will expand to fill the niche. I guess I don't have the right to pry, but I do feel intimate with the blog after reading it for so long and would love to know. I know, none of my beezewax, but I'm curious.
