Now Palin Out of U.N. Anti-Iran Rally, Too!

091808president.jpgVice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been disinvited from a rally planned for Monday to protest Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's U.N. visit. Earlier in the week, Hillary Clinton dropped out of the event when Palin was added to the list of speakers. Now rally organizers have asked Palin to stay away, bowing to pressure from Jewish Democrats who argued that her presence would turn the event into a Republican political rally. (The McCain campaign had called for Senator Barack Obama to join Palin at the event in a show of unity against Iran.) In fact, all American political figures have been asked not to come, though Politico says the decision was all about Palin. The group, Stop Iran Now, said in a statement that "in order to keep the focus on Iranian threats and to ensure that this critical message not be obscured, the organizers of the rally have decided not to have any American political personalities appear."

Let's take this from the beginning...and to save some people time...let's fairly lay this on the shoulders of the republican Jewish Caolition and thier filthy stealth tactics. This may sound one sided...but the Democrats have not engaged in similar Jew Baiting against McCain. It has been the republican Jews who have stooped to the lowest of the low here.

A week ago the RJC got caught conducting a negative and racist Jew baiting push poll to Jewish voters. Asking skewed and negative innuendo ladened questions about Obama. When it was exposed by Politico.com the RJC fessed up but took their phone numbers off thier website, to hide even more, and avoid getting called out on this by Jews who disagreed with them. Why did they do this? If they are being bold enough to place negative anti obama ads throughout the Jewish Press, why would they wuss out and hide thier contact info? At the same time, they used thier influence to get Palin invited to this rally at the UN, as a last minute invite without letting Sen. Clinton know in advance, and without inviting the Obama campaign unitl after the fact. Again another stealthy move. But alas, their dirty little political trick blew back on them. Hillary withdrew and the Jewish community nationwide saw this for what it was becoming....a republican stump speech. The organizers were right in withdrawing the invites entirely, and keeping the focus where it belonged...on the Hitler of Iran. And I will lay odds that Elie Weisel in his wisdom had some sage advice in the decision. But I am just speculating. But here is where I am not.

THE JEWISH COMMUNITY BETTER WAKE UP! never in my life have I seen a presidential race create such a wedge among the jewish Community. This campaign is not all about Israel, it's also about AMERICA and AMERICANS. The bread and butter issues facing all of us. Support for Israel by the major candidates is a non-issue. NEITHER candidate would get elected much less be nominated, if they said they hate Israel, or god damn Israel, or that Jews deserve to be punished with suicide bombers becuase they do not believe in Jesus! Neither candidate has said that or believes it .And their voting records and support for Israel is well recorded...just check AIPAC. The words of Jeremiah Wright and David Brickner are equally dispicable. But thats all sideshow distractive crap and political theatre playing right into the hands of religious extremists, muslim and christian alike!

I hope that when many Jews attend the High Holy Days ahead, we stop this nonsense and focus on the real issues improving our NATION, OUR COUNTRY and OUR American lives. Leave your McCain-kahs and Obama-kahs at home and do the real self reflection and stop this politicizing of Judaism, the lies and the screeds! I know that will be on my mind in this coming new year. SHANA TOVA!

Ahmadinejad is a hero for standing up to Israel. But now a bunch of angry jews want to protest him and call him names. Quit wasting your time! Stop trying to bomb Iran and leave them alone!

Iran saved you guys from Babylonian captivity. Show some gratitude!

oh f that - Iran is NOT a threat to America - not one iota of a threat. Its a threat to Israel. That's Israels problem...lets it fight its own wars or not, I don't care. f apiac

Take a step back, divest every dime from the region, and let every petty ethnic and religious feud work itself out....sunni-shia, israel/palestine/iran, saudi royals vs. everyone.

Hell, it worked when we did it in Rwanda and Darfur.

Even if the Chinese take the oil-bait and fill the power vacuum (in a Roman empire, line the roads with crucifixions kind of way, the only way that could ever work), the US is better off. Perhaps they'll unite against the Chinese instead of us.

The Saudis and Israelis are not our friends. If we had left Hussein in power dealing with Iran wouldn't be quite so bad.

I agree Ahmadinejad is a right wing nut job par-excellence. I would never defend him or his ideology. He is a backwards, idiotic, virulently anti-semetic asshole.

    BUT

The right wing Israelis are just as bad. They advocate violent incurrsions into arab states. They bomb civilians without shame. They believe that GOD gave them the right to the land. Talk about about relio-fascist right wing nutjobs. Look at right wing Israelis and their supporters in the U.S. (especially here in New York). There you'll find right wing fascist nut jobs.

Absolutely. Ahmadinejad should be nowhere near the UN.

#4: Your hate is blinding you from reality. Get a clue.

#11: I'd say the same thing to you. I'm sure you're looking forward to the day when those pesky arabs and persians would just die already.

Blind support of Israel is just as morally bankrupt as blind support for Iran or Palestinians. Just b/c you're Jewish, doesn't put you above a baseline of decency and morality.

** And note I said **blind** support of Israel. Which many American Jews are guilty of.

And to those who think a President should not interact with other foreign leaders, Kennedy, in time of conflict, dealt with Kruschev. And Reagan had no problem facing Gorbachev. FDR face-to-faced Stalin (even though he wimped out). Nixon faced Mao. No US Pres should ever shirk facing any leader, no matter how odious. If they can't they don't belong in that position.

    From a non-partisan, non-pro or anti Zionist:

This Yutz beleives that the world is less than 10K years old, End-of-days is coming, and McCain has more of a right to peoples' uteri than they do. She's a political prop to the XX crowd (no disrespect) and religious fundamentalists (much disrespect intended). No great shakes over Hillary. And why don't we forget about the other countries (Um, if we can't, can we include Venezuela, Saudi, Russia, India/Paki, etc, Like the only world issue we AMERICANS should be concerned about are Iran & Israel) and focus on OUR COUNTRY and OUR WELLBEING! I would suggest that people not be so single-issue minded based on their religious beliefs, and focus on the good of the USA.

Just when you thought the left could not any more wacko....

Hmmm.. you're a right-wing Alaskan Christian secessionist. Now who do you hate more? Iran or Israel? That's really tough. Sarah probably prayed to Jesus on this one but alas, no reply.

  • balumbum

Really if Iran is a threat, shouldn't we be welcoming Ahmadinejad to discuss terms and options for a peaceful coexistence?

Also, here is an interesting, yet even more horrible because of it's stupidity, reason, besides nuclear terror, that the US would be interested in a war with Iran:

By the way, it's totally scary because Palin is probably so relatable to many Americans, but otherwise who cares that she got kicked outta the rally...that's not the important aspect of this situation.

  • glennQNYC

If the consistent nomination of far left Presidential candidates wasn't enough evidence... This embarrassing display of intolerance shows how interested the Democrats are in "reaching across the isle" like they want everyone else to do.

    Place this quote:

"America must not ignore the threat gathering against us. Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof -- the smoking gun -- that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud. "

If Iran gets a nuke and starts WWIII how many of you will be bitching that we didn't stop the Iranians sooner? Assuming you're still alive, that is.

That's it, blame the Jews. Anti-zionism is just plain old anti-semitism wearing a fig leaf.

This is the run-up to the Iraq War all over again. Due to chaos at home and abroad in Israel, the push for war with Iran will fail this time (unless Cheney launches the invasion himself). The organizers of "Stop Iran Now" are the same Orthodox Jewish Republicans who were major proponents of the invasion of Iraq. Check out their 2002 public statements calling for pressure on Iraq. It's all eerily familiar to their current calls for pressure on Iran.
