Palin was Fey, Before Fey was Palin
This past Saturday Tina Fey delivered a frighteningly accurate portrayal of Governor Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live's season opener. This is the first time Palin has been impersonated on the show, and word has come in that she was in fact watching it live via satellite TV on her flight to Denver. The NY Times reports that the candidate has spent her time on the campaign plane "ensconced at the front with family members and top aides, tucked away behind a curtain that separates everyone -– reporters, included — in the back." However, she has now spoken out (albeit through a spokesperson) about the SNL sketch, saying she “thought it was quite funny," and has allegedly dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween.

In other news: Irony is dead, and it's God's will that nation works at Wal Mart as greeters while banks finalize bankruptcy filings.

Oh, please. How do you dress up as Tina Fey?

Get a blue blazer, the glasses, wear your hair down, get a clipboard that says "Weekend Update" on it, and say "I'm Tina Fey"?

Like most of Palin's claims, this one turns out to be misleading - Palin dressing as Fey might suggest a gain in hipness for Palin, but now it has also produced a slight LOSS in hipness for Fey and a 3% climb in the Liberal Nausea Quotient.
Plus, Palin's claim that photos of her as Fey appeared on her Facebook account are false. It turns out she only has a MySpace page, which was created on her behalf by her daughter Bristol. While Palin did indeed instruct Bristol to post the photos, Bristol apparently chose to disregard this request and attend a movie instead.
Tina Fey is a valuable national resource, and we cannot risk any further loss in this area! For God sakes, keep this woman out of Washington.

In addition, an anonymous staffer told the Times that Palin did not, in fact, find the skit to be funny, and has addressed pointed complaints to several members of the GE board.

Maybe she dressed up as Tina Fey playing rape victim being denied a morning after pill because Sarah Palin won't allow it.

it's called "campaigning". This is what happened. She watched it with her family. She had a smile on her face in the beginning but realized they were taking it to her and her face became contorted with furious anger and anguish at the character assassination. Her husband probably said "That's fucked up Honey that's not you, it's those goddamn media elite!" when he saw the angry tears forming at the edge of her eyes as her hands clutched her blouse. She then turned away, took a breath and composed herself and then asked her campaign aid how to to turn this around. He probably said "just say you dressed like tina fey for halloween, sure it don't make no sense cause alaskans don't watch SNL and you've got five kids and are running the government and you coulnd't possibly have time to even know who the fuck Tina fey is, but it'll show that you've got a sense of humor"

Her dressing up as Fey will likely turn out to be another lie. Her sarcastic and slightly condescending humor just falls flat with anyone not watching fox news.

She dresses more Tricia Nixon than Tina Fey, and her "David Eisenhower" looks like a trout...a Brooks Brothers trout.

It's just great that Governor Palin is sincere and secure enough to laugh at this low grade type sophomoric humor. . .

Running for VP with no experience, giving one interview thus far where she didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was, being against gay marriage, anti-choice and anti-sex ed, and wanting to teach creationism in schools... THAT'S the joke.

So is Palin now trying to get Tina fired? That seems to be her MO.

If you ask me, Sarah Palin's husband is the one that's fey.
