The alert this morning on mta.info said that the A was delayed due to "ongoing signal problems at 181st Street Station."

The A train has been crappy the last 10 years. Every weekend there seems to be more construction delays and what do they have to show for all of this construction? Broken rails and more delays. The MTA is abominable.

There was a thick layer of construction debris on the platform at 181st this morning, and apparently ongoing construction right in that area, causing the train to crawl along at 15 mph blowing the horn. I doubt that it had anything do to with the Queens/Brooklyn delays though.

Experienced delays? Indeed I have, and heard plenty of similar reports. For weeks now, the A has failed to show up for long stretches of time on the A line in Manhattan. What's going on with this line?
