"And thus begins the blame the victim and the victim's friends commentary." why not blame the victim? women think they can drink all they want & nothing will happen to them. don't be stupid. why not blame the friend? i took a drunk friend home once from studio mezmor at 3:30 in the morning & we were in her building but she refused to go upstairs to her apartment. i still didn't leave her, i argued with her & dragged her upstairs. why? because it's nyc & you don't leave drunk girls alone. ever. anywhere. now higgins has to live the rest of her life knowing she could have saved her friend's life.
