How do you insure a concentration camp? What, if the ovens go cold during a blizzard Allianz has to pay up? If Dachau forgets to send in their monthly premium they get dumped and are on their own in the cruel world? Allianz needs to address these issues if only to defend the evolution of their corporate culture.

There are many American & British companies with shameful pasts. While we can't forget what happened, there comes a point where we must move on. Maybe that point is still a decade or two away. Anyway, Allianz might be better off now.

The difference with Allianz and those companies you mentioned is that deliberately stole or withheld money from Jews living in Nazi Germany. Allianz did handle the backlash quite badly though. Their brand is not the only one with a shameful past. I don't see the black community boycotting Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. FYI: Bank of Boston/Fleet before it merged with BoA, was associated with African slave traders.

Does this bother ANYONE? It would have been nice to hear one Jewish leader say that Allianz today is not the Allianz of yesterday. I guess VW, Porsche and even BMW would be out of the naming rights bidding too? We will never forget - certainly yes - but this is a bit too much.
