Why are you posting this? I've been a reader of Gothamist for years... back when there was just one Gothamist (i.e. no other city blogs) and you had the old old old super-gray colour scheme. You guys have always been pretty classy, funny, quirky. But this... is just unnecessary. And mean. And tasteless. I'm disappointed. I'm sure I'm going to be flamed for this, but I just had to say it.

I was at Toys R Us in Union Square one time and an elderly woman in one of those hospital-type gowns slipped on the down escalator. Of course, the more she went down the more her dress went up. And yes, the escalator is right in the middle of the store and no, she wasn't wearing underwear. It was horrifying, in more ways than one. O_o

wow. that is one scary happenin'. it almost looks like she innocently forgot her pants this morning. i wonder where her travels took her next and if anyone said anything. hopefully i wont find her standing in front of me while I'm sitting in a crowded train on my way home.
