i dont know....i'm an obama supporter and i think patterson's accusations are a little bit on the paranoid side. i just didn't catch that vibe from the GOP i guess. sounded to me like they were mocking his piddling experience. what about hillary clinton's accusations that obama worked for a "slum lord". is that racist? everyone needs to relax

#5, it's well documented that the first use of the 'lipstick on a pig' expression was by McCain against Hillary. And unless you make over $250k, which based on the emotional state of your post I doubt, your taxes wouldn't go up with Obama. Oh, I'm sorry, with Barack Hussein Obama. Both sides are mastery of phony outrage. The Sarah Palin ascendency is based on the same type of empty cultural tribalism as Obama's entire candidacy. The Obama campaign is an amalgamation of anti-war sentiment, black empowerment rhetoric and white guilt. Palin's position in the campaign can be attributed to the powerful position Christian fundamentalists still hold in the Republican Party and the desire to woo fringe Clinton voters desperate to vote for a woman.

After Clinton --> Dot Com bust. Bush brought the Dow to its high of 13k. Then came the credit crunch. To blame Bush for the economic woes is not really fair. We should blame Clinton for the irrational exuberance of the late 90s leading to the dot com bust and corporate corruption (Enron, Typo, Worldcom). Then comes Bush having to reluctantly pass Sarb-Ox. What does this prove? The economy runs in cycles. Bush has been fixing the irrationality of Clinton. And McCain better be president to continue the fixing before Obama comes down with short-term, big government "fixes" to the economy (curbing international trade, closing America, no competitive advantage).

GOP is right. Every new accusation of racism turns away the independent voters. Certainly, it is very well known "community organizer" is synonymous with communist. I've never known a community organizer to champion the free market and property rights.

The whole "community organizer" thing came out because the Dems mocked Palin's experience, saying being a mayor of Wasilla is "nothing" and being gov of Alaska is bullshit. Palin merely responded that being mayor and gov requires more responsibility than being a community organizer because the former requires decisions in a legislative setting. The Dems can mock Palin, but when Palin mocks the Dems it becomes BLACK? A WEEK after?! McCain will be pres for sure.
