Unless Michel Gondry somehow went missing without it making the news, then this is either a marketing campaign, or some crazy fan trying to make contact with the director. Signs that have popped up in Manhattan (Gondry now lives in Brooklyn) state, "Have you seen French film maker Michel Gondry? Any infos please be kind and send email" (our email to the address has yet to get a response). EV Grieve saw the sign on 7th Street and Avenue A yesterday, meanwhile Fimoculous saw one in Freeman's Alley. The former thinks that if this is in fact a marketing campaign, it's "especially tacky when family and friends are in a desperate search for Hannah Upp."

And given this week's 9/11 anniversary, not good timing if its guerrila marketing.
I also saw the same sign this morning outside the School for Visual Arts on East 23rd St between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
he's just having too much damn fun inside his cardboard box

Hotmail? Who uses hotmail anymore?
Maybe they are together!
Yeah, it sucks that Hannah's missing, but it's not like someone out there is saying "well i *was* looking for Hannah, but now I'm gonna devote all my time to searching for Michel Gondry."
Hi. I would like to make it perfectly clear that Michel Gondry has absolutely nothing to do with this at all. It is not a marketing campaign. These postings are the independent act of someone not associated with Michel Gondry or any of his work or projects. We would prefer that these signs be removed whenever possible. Thank you. -Office of Michel Gondry.
