Firefighter Charged as Part of Robbery Gang

2008_09_nyfd.jpgQueens firefighter Ricardo Louis has been suspended by the FDNY without pay after being arrested yesterday for assault and attempted robbery. Louis was allegedly recruited by a gang that specialized in home burglaries and knew he was hard up for cash. His first job involved pistol-whipping a Queens businessman in the driveway of his home after gang members awaited the man's return from work. The gang fled before taking anything when the man yelled for help. But Louis told another gang member that the attempt was a good “warm-up” and that he was ready for the next robbery. The gang is also alleged to have recruited a member from the NYPD, Officer Darren Moonan, who was arrested last year. While Louis and his lawyer were unavailable for comment, his sister told the NY Post, "Ricardo? He should know better. We're from a Christian family."

"Ricardo? He should know better. We're from a Christian family."

Those are the WORST.

I totally agree. "Christians" are the most hateful, self service, hypocritical people in the world

Gee, you mean that firefighters are people too, and some of them steal? Some people who comment on this site would find that shocking.

Hey, rcltrh,

What does it mean to say a group of people is "self-service?"

Does it mean they can't buy gas in New Jersey?

Please fill us in....

Thanks!
