It's obvious that people who are willing to abuse animals would have no compunctions whatsoever about doing the same thing to humans. Lack of empathy extends to all species in those cases. This guy should be locked up because he's a prime candidate for future serial killer.

I've always felt, that as with violence against humans, violence against animals should be rewarded by having the perpetrator experience the equivalent. Throw a dog out the window? Get tossed off a roof. Beat up your girlfriend? Be beaten by a woman. Set a cat on fire? Have someone set you on fire. Drug and rape a woman? Be drugged and raped. And so on. It will never happen, but it pleases me to think about.

This morning Benoit was finally arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief--he had been avoiding the ASPCA for a year. Benoit is the girlfriend. Editing!

I will never ever understand people who hurt animals (or any living being for that matter). I wish it were possible to create some type of vaccine to remove whatever part of a person makes this possible. It should be treated as a sickness, a disease. I have trouble sleeping at night because of stories like these. We are by far the ugliest and most cruel specie I can think of.
