"According to Midtown Lunch, Eight Avenue is the "fried chicken corridor of NYC."

    "Eight Avenue"??

Where's the corresponding caption for the posted pic?. Lemme guess; "Laundry Piles Up in East Village Backyard"

Christopher Hitchens "mourns the end of the Village"? What? Did another bar close there?

You are right 8th ave is crowded with fried chicken joints.

But so is Coney Island. There are about 8 of them on Surf and Mermaid and they are constantly busy even after Midnight.

They even are open during all holidays.

One good idea for a future post is to allow the members to submit their best recipes for fried chicken. Espcially tenderizing and juicing the dried white meat inside the crust
