Millions or billions on the lawsuit dollar amount is irrelevant. Trump has good reason to sue journalists who misrepresent stories that they are supposed to be experts in.

What does he own? He licenses his "brand name" to developers from Hong Kong and Dubai for their Royal Phalluses of Conspicuous Consumption. He owns very lttle in his own right and the banks are still after him over those failed casinos in A.C. But we'll find all of this out won't we, when the Times' attorneys file their subpoenas duces taecums on this shabby clown.

Only a pathetic little putz like Trump would consider it defamation if someone underestimated his net worth. This loser has all of his self-worth tied up in the numbers on his bank account (and his name on everything he owns).

#1 - Please reread the article and your first sentence and tell me if it makes sense. Also, Trump is suing for $5 billions. Ironically if he wins, it would make him a legitimate billionaire.

I remember Trump awhile back talking about how journalists deceive for a story and that we went to war cause of the NY Times reporting. While I wish I had 5 million myself, and I hope Trump uses the funds for a good cause, I think the lawsuit here has plenty of merit and holds the NY Times accountable for their reporting. I understand what was going through Trump's mind when he sued the NY Times and I concur with him.
