Welcome, Neighbor! Have You Seen My Son?

note0809.jpg

Nothing like knowing what kind of neighbors you're going to have in the new place! A reader writes in saying, "I live in Brooklyn and in my apartment building this was posted on the wall near the front entrance...seriously, wtf?" WTF, indeed. The full note can be seen after the jump, but to summarize, someone seems to have lost their son and thinks the new neighbors may have found/taken him. Towards the end a "joke" is made, as they note this has happened before and humor has become a coping mechanism.

What if MORONS will not procreate, maybe we'll have a better planet! That is a green initiative.

How do the neighbors know where to bring him if they find him?

In all seriousness though, I hope the little guy is okay and she finds him.

Sounds like the kid might have some sort of mental condition.

"What if MORONS will not procreate, maybe we'll have a better planet! That is a green initiative."

What if YOU learned a the English? Ja?

How about a note with some actual identifying characteristics (a picture?) and a phone number to call if he's found? This kid just wanders around the apartment building and the parents joke about it?

"There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?"

Um...whoever took the photo of this should call the State Hotline for Child Abuse & Neglect.

You can be connected directly by calling 311.

It's possible this is an adult son with some sort of mental disorder or retardation. Child abuse may not enter into it.

That said... fucking weird.

The kid didn't just wander off, he's trying to escape!

"Welcome new neighbors" indeed. If I were those neighbors, I'd be on the phone to the police immediately. A note that disturbing on so many levels rquires serious attention.

No trolls on this thread yet?

You guys are a riot!

hmmmm if real someone needs to lo-jack that kid...

if fake... well that would make me think twice about renewing lease (image if the description was a 50 year "kid")

Maybe they mean cat... not kid?
