The Gowanus is and has been for decades a thriving business area and does not need the injection of noise polluting rock club to give it a boost. The Gowanus is a wonderful mixture of residential and family owned businesses. This is yet another example of the current trend of tasteless over development fueled by greed. This is exactly what is destroying the quality of life and charm of Brooklyn. This is not what Brooklyn needs.

Interesting how after decades of being an unattractive, tenement neighborhood - how it is finally be built up and becoming in demand.

It appears that the creative Brooklyn Heights crowd is aggressively moving southward to find space.
