Those refrigerators bring back so many memories of our childhoods.
Remember this model as a young kid. They lasted for decades way back them- never need to be repaired. Even the inside light stayed fixed.
What is interesting about the above models are the left and right opening options.
Were these for left handed people in an attempt to be more considerate of their problems?
Oo-eey, don't let Yaya hear you calling her looks "exotic" like the Broadway.com article does. She doesn't like that so much, if memory serves correctly.
Re: Jet Blue.
Better safe than sorry!
I think that refrigerator store is on West 18th or 19th. I walked by with a friend who liked the refrigerators but later discovered that in Italy the brand is known for breaking down a little too often. They are maybe the Fiat of refrigerators.
remember when you couldn't open fridges from the inside because they had a serious locking latch and kids died all the time because they were dumb enough to try to hide with them, only to be entombed and thusly suffocate? Those days blew. I think there was a Punky Brewster episode that tackled this.
@TheKlaua, I totally remember that Punky Brewster video.
Left or right hinged fridge doors have nothing to do with being a lefty or a righty. It has to do with what is to the left or right of the opening, i.e. a kitchen counter or a wall.

You can still get left and right handed models. Most refrigerators I've seen can swap handle and hinge to change the "handedness".
Great for our tiny apartments, where a door swinging one way or the other becomes critical.
