jchez, I have to say that this is what democracy is. Charlie Rangel will keep getting elected because he does things for his district. I don't live there but the stuff that's coming out now about his apartment and condo really shouldn't be the issue and I imagine he probably won't run again. It'll take his successor many years to be able to produce anything near what Charles Rangel has done. As for Mr Morgenthau he is obviously a great administrator. He plays an important part in keeping the crime rate down in this city. If Crock-Snyder is his replacement, you'll notice the difference in about 10 minutes.

Oh God, I hate it so much that the smug, slimy hypocrite is a my congressman for life! Do we have such a dearth of skilled people that people like Rangel and Morgenthau can continue to ge elected until they die? That's not a democracy.
