I don't know if Rangel is corrupt or not, but I think the media starting to scrutinize these things is a good thing. I kind of wish that this kind of stuff were reported on ALL politicians. It's not like Rangel just came into politics yesterday; these sweetheart deals appear to be longstanding. Why are we only learning about them now? As REAL reporting gets pushed more and more to internet-based amateurs, as opposed to the party-line professional insiders used on the different networks, maybe we'll start to see greater accountability. Eh, probably not. The politicians will just get better at hiding this stuff.
