Yesterday a federal judge threw out a lawsuit from the famous strip club Scores that accused the state of harassment after revoking its liquor license this past May. The State Liquor Authority ordered that drinks stop being served at both Scores East (which filed the suit) as well as Scores West, the Chelsea location where dancers were allegedly getting paid to do more than just give lap dances. Scores will have to take its case directly to the SLA in order to get its license back. The club, best known for being championed throughout the years by Howard Stern, accuses the city of fabricating prostitution charges in order to take away their first amendment right to have topless dancing.

Even though I don't frequent Scores and find their women to be below par, I for one support their quest to have their liquor license reinstated. Sober lap dances are no fun.
Prostitution is a victimless crime. If some loser wants to get his knob polished for the cost of a few hundred bucks, who are we to judge?
As I sit here and read this article I see that most people need to get their stories straight as stated above " The State Liquor Authority ordered that drinks stop being served at both Scores East (which filed the suit) as well as Scores West, " since that I was over at the scores on the east side and it seemed to open and drinks were flowing as usual.
Also why it is that there are 1000’s of strip clubs in the city but yet Scores seems to be the only one that we ever really hear about?
Scores is the most well known strip club in at least NY maybe even the US but yet the SLA wants to shut them down on non existent charges.
