That is absolutely disgusting, but I'm also not surprised. The Kitchenette on Chambers St. had been closed by the DOH last year. The food was mediocre at best anyway.

At that point, I would have said: "This has disgusted me. I want my entire meal for free, not just the grits -- you can take this to your manager -- and if that request is declined, I will shout out, at top volume, to every other patron of this restaurant that "Kitchenette's grits have worms in them. It's okay, though, it happens all the time!" Okay, granted, that's basically what this post just did, but in person it'd be sooooooo much more fun.

I would have sat there and made the mgr eat every bite. I would have also called the cops and say they were forcing me to pay for spolied food, and also called the health dept right there before I left. Outrageous. Hopefully this will make it out to larger audiences like the tv news
