Giuliani in Denver

2008_08_notread.jpgWith most of NY's big politicians at the Democratic National Convention in Denver this week, there's a high-profile Republican in the midst--Rudy Giuliani. The former mayor is part of the "Republican attack squad" set up to counter messages coming out of the DNC. The Washington Post found him standing in front of banners saying "A Mile High, An Inch Deep" and "Not Ready '08," using Hillary Clinton's and Joseph Biden's previous criticisms against Barack Obama to make his case. And while he praised Clinton's speech, he pointed out, "She left out the key question that lingers. What we don't know is if she thinks he's qualified to be commander in chief." Giuliani also said that John McCain had not contacted him about the VP position.

I'd have to tack on Blue Marble to the ice cream list. And the Red Hook Ballfields should've been mentioned somewhere...

Why does anyone care what Rudy has to say? Republicans didn't even vote for this schmuck in the primaries.

I'd watch if Rudy dresses in drag.

"A Mile High, An Inch Deep"
Sounds like a description of Rudy's ego and personality.

He should be there with his son, Andrew, so it would even be more tacky.

This guy is a vulture - could he just drop dead?!
