Ok, I'll chime in here.

I ate there recently and it was very, very good. I am a mere mortal and I was able to get a reservation with a little bit of persistence.

I don't consider myself a food snob and I basically break down my dining experiences on a scale of Horrible, Not Tasty, Tasty, and Really F*$!-ing good.
Ko received the highest of these ratings and I would gladly spend more money (and more time getting a res) there than for a mediocre meal at other high end restaurants in the city (like Persimmon, which I ate at the other night).

Matty, that's an excellent question, it would be funny if they covered it but never ate there. Personally, I'd love to eat there (for dinner) if I had more free time to go out. It's become the default restaurant I daydream about, displacing old places like Nobu where I never ate, either.

The wisdom of the great Yogi known as Berra comes to mind when Momofuku Ko is mentioned:
Nobody goes there anymore...it's too crowded!
