Jets Fans Receive Partial Reprieve from PSLs

2008_08_firejets.jpgSome good news for Gang Green fans: Only some Jets' season ticket holders will have to pay the personal seat licenses for the new stadium while those in the upper decks won't have to pay PSLs. Because the Jets and Giants are building a stadium without public subsidies, the teams have resorted to asking their fans to kick in more. The Jets' PSLs, which range from $4,000 to $25,000, have been a source of controversy and some fans protested the scheme before last Saturday's game. The Giants are going to charge $1,000 PSLs for the upper deck seats; other seats fees cost much more.

    I'm happy watching on tv.

Can someone explain how these things work? They say you need the PSL to buy the season tickets and that the PSL is yours to resell at some later date should you choose. Does the PSL make it mandatory that you buy season tickets? What would happen if you wanted to skip a year?

And if the PSLs are to be sold on the open market, does that mean no more waiting list for season tickets i.e. you have to find someone will to sell their PSL?

This is much better than the public funding the stadium. I don't want to pay additional "taxes" because Fat Hank wants to charge $$$ to Sal from Jersey.

Like football? Pay up and stop bitching!

Here's a Tip. Don't go to games. Use that 1000 bucks and get a 67" HDTV. It's better than being in the stands cause you get all the angles.

Cause only the poor in the top cared enough to show up for the rally - the corporate box owners will enjoy their seats on the 50 yard line for years to come :P

Why not extend it to the whole stadium and have everyone pay less of a PSL?
