Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton Get Ready for Prime Time

hilchel1.jpg

This evening, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will address the Democratic National Convention in a speech that many hope will unite her supporters with those of presumptive presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Republican candidate John McCain used Clinton's earlier criticism of Obama in an attack ad and Rudy Giuliani said Obama should have chosen Clinton instead of Joe Biden, attempts to drive Clinton supporters to the Republican side. Yesterday morning, Clinton told the New York delegation, "I understand that the McCain campaign is running ads trying to divide us, and let me state what I think about their tactics and these ads: I'm Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message," and emphasized the party's unity.

However, last night, Newsweek's Howard Fineman suggested on MSNBC the tension between Clinton and Obama was "real." And today, former president Bill Clinton told an audience in Denver, "Suppose you're a voter, and you've got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don't think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?" The Hill reports that Clinton then said, after a paused, "This has nothing to do with what's going on now."

Senator Clinton will be introduced by her daughter Chelsea. AMNY wonders if the former First Daughter has a future in politics.

Of course Chelsea has a future in politics. Now that the Hillary experiment is a failure, the DNC will be shoving Chelsea down our throats in another 20 years whether we like it or not.

Hit it? With what, a baseball bat?

  • poopmast

Its amazing that it took a team of scientists and the world's best stylists to get Chelsea looking a few notches up to below gross.

  • Rfive

Chelsea. Not Hillary. Let's get that straight.

  • Rfive

    I would DEFINITELY hit that.

  • dooWOP

Heck, imagine what poor Chelsea looks like in the morning. Anyways, is it true that ol' Bill actually compared Obama to a "Chicago thug"...?

  • NannyState

Has anyone noticed Chelsea has really great blow-job lips?

I'm Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message.

Well, it came out of your mouth.

Thanks for the news flash. Here I was thinking the Obama campaign's choice of 3 AM to send their VP text message was mere coincidence.

    I mean chipmunk. Sorry.

CHELSEA looks like a CRACK WHORE

    I mean Cracker.

What the hell is it with this cult of personality and their dynastic obsessions? Spare us and our democracy, please.

Clinton-bot. Bzzt. Bet she runs on Linux. Too calculated and together to be Vista, but clearly, not as marketable.

I have a better question. Let's say that you have candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on 2/3 of the issues, but you believe he can only deliver 28% of them. Candidate Y is traveling at a speed of 70 miles per hour from Chicago to New York. In how many minutes will Chuck Todd's head explode?
