@VanessaNYC: it's easy to call something "change" when what you advocate is not the current policy of the sitting administration. By that standard, John McCain will be ushering in "change". But what I'm not seeing from Barack Obama is visionary leadership. His stands on so many issues either echo past positions by leading democrats, or are just scripted filler. Healthcare? Hillary got there first in 1993. Energy? Iceland declared its intention to be carbon-free in 50 years. What's holding Obama back? Even the Bush-backed leader in Iraq has a more aggressive plan to exit the U.S. troops than Obama or Clinton. The point is that we know he is talented and very bright. the question is: can he deliver a substantive program for renewal, or will he just anotate the Clinton agenda or the Democratic party platform?

You get the feeling that democrats are grasping at explanations why Obama is doing so badly in the polls. The truth is that for a 'change agent', Obama has very few if any new ideas and some of his attempts at energy policy are just laughable: Republican oilman T. Boone Pickens ran rings around him with his nationally televised ads while Obama was explaining his "tire inflation" comment. He's no visionary and, unlike Hillary, he doesn't even have a fully-developed conventional approach to dealing with all these messes. On the stage he is inspirational, even messianic, but we've seen these Bumper Sticker Messiahs come and we've seen them go. As for Rudy, at what time does he have anything to offer to anyone? He just needs to sign another consulting contract and go pad his empty nest.

Throw out those horseshit gamed caucuses and she beat him despite being outspent 3-1 and out mediawhored 100-1. Where would Obama be without recieving 90% of the black vote? I doubt many white DEMOCRATS voted against Obama just because of race. After all if someone is biased they're sure as hell not going to be a member of the Democratic party. The leftest media wants you to believe racism will work against Obama but no Democrat since LBJ has carried the white male vote. Most guys aren't into the whole serf for Big Brother thing. I'm not sure Count Dracula should be giving anybody campaign advice. I'm sure a lot of republicans are upset that Clinton is not on the ticket b/c it would have motivated conservative voters that are currently uninterested in McCain and likely to stay home. Also, the Clintons (in fairness, more Bill than Hill) bring have a ton of baggage that would damage the Democratic party.

Do you want to look at the state-level polls? Those are the ones that show Obama up 262-252 (22 EVs "tied"), with 76 of the GOP EVs coming from "barely GOP" states (only 9 EVs on the Dem side are considered as such).

Cue the elephant in the room, but Obama's low poll numbers have more to do with his race than the Hillary issue. If he were white, he would have a clear lead over McCain. There is an undercurrent of latent racism that we are completely ignoring in this election.

I like Clinton's policies (as I should -- they are practically identical to Obama's and I'm an Obama supporter) and she has the experience needed to be vice president, or president for that matter, but she and Obama don't mix. It would be a disaster for her to be Obama's VP. With Hillary as VP there would be 3 presidents: Barack, Hillary and Bill. I highly doubt that would work out well.

For the first time, possibly ever, Giuliani is actually right about something. Clinton on the ticket would have done far more FOR the campaign than it would have done to hurt it and it would have appeased angry PUMA voters who will now cast their votes in droves for McCain, effectively handing the Republicans another 4 years in control.
