Skydiver Celebrates as Third Leg's the Charm

2008_08_leg.jpgTwo months after he lost a prosthetic leg midair, Scott Listemann has completed a successful skydive with his new (new) leg. Listemann made the jump with his replacement leg just two days after it arrived. The jump went so well that Listemann, a veteran skydiver, was considering going for two more jumps this weekend. The original prosthetic disappeared into thin air during a jump in Gardiner, NY and never recovered despite his best efforts to track it down. It my have have come off because of sweat on his stump. Listemann lost his real leg below the knee in November after a dump truck ran him over. He said the jump with his replacement leg was "absolutely wonderful."

Here's an idea, he needs a LoJack for his leg. That way even if it falls off, "it'll grow back."

I don't know why he bothered looking for the leg. After falling several thousand feet it certainly wouldn't have been of any use.

There is a prostitute in Brooklyn that could have used it before she got killed.

He's lucky the lost leg didn't kill someone or damage anything.
