Would-Be NJ Ninja Drug Warriors Arrested

2008_08_ninjas.jpgIn New York, there's the Staten Island Ninja Burglar, who stealthily entered homes to steal money and other valuables. In NJ, there's the would-be Shinobi ninja warriors who were trying to rid the streets of drugs, by way of threatening letters.

Clifton, NJ police apprehended 20-year-old Tadeusz Pertkiewicz and 19-year-old Jesse Trojaniak early Wednesday morning. They were wearing "black SWAT-type vests and carried knives, throwing stars, swords, nunchucks and a bow and arrows." Apparently they were worried that an ex-girlfriend and other friends were, per the Star-Ledger, "descending into drug use," so they decided to start their two-man crew to stop it all.

The letters read, "Shinobi will stop your cruel and sadistic intentions with justified, yet merciful force" and accused drug users and dealers "committ[ing] sin of passing impurity" to others. Oh, and they brought along homemade smoke bombs, perhaps to throw into a drug dealer's house. However, police spotted them leaving a letter and arrested them before that could happen.

Petrkiewicz said he did not intend to harass his ex--his issue was that she was letting people smoke pot in her house. However, the police said, "Their intentions may have been good. But we tell everyone that they shouldn't take the law into their own hands because it will cause more problems for everyone in the long run."

I swear, those photos remind me of the "Dumb and Dumber" movie..

"What gives YOU the right? What's the difference between you and me??"

"I'm not wearing hockey pads."

nuhnuh-nuhnuh-nuhnuh-nuhnuh, BATMAN

I LOVE IT!!! These guys are heroes. I am on my way to post bail right now. This is the type of initiative that this city needs. With the help of these kids, we will eliminate crime once and for all!!!

Would have made a great movie, at least on youtube.

Remember what Mr. Miyagi said: "Karate here, karate here, karate here, karate not here."

Idiots. They're supposed to mutate with turtles first.

"Ninja, please" is gold, pure gold.

@Rocknrope

That's Polock Ninja to you, sir.

"Ninja, please" is the funniest post I've seen in weeks. Thank you.

As for these 2: schmucks.

Buzz and r1b2 obviously don't have G4 in their cable/satellite plan.

You have to give them some credit. At least they tried something, unlike most people (including Gothamist commenters) who moan about drugs but do nothing, not even calling the police.

LOL let this guys come to my hood and try that shit the headline would read"two wannabe ninjas found dead"

Ahhh...spit76... more gentle tones from your fingertips...fanning the flames of justice once again!

hahah, I agree: "Ninja, please" is pure gold!

Wow, two personal attacks in two days. If only Rfive spent as much time and effort actually posting something on topic, people might actually respect him. I doubt they would, given his distinct, total and obvious lack of cerebration skills, but they might. Namecalling, too. I'd ask if you were still in fifth grade, but I don't think today's kids are that dumb anymore.

With so many of these ninjas running around, is it any wonder I can't get a decent night's sleep.

They should have set them self's up with a Career in law enforcement so they could use guns and stuff. Two years of collage and "BANG!"; your blocking up a street and knocking down doors to all the thugs chilling with there crack/cocaine and what not. Drug dealers chill with gangs and they are crazy with weapons. They kill for fun. They think that they rule the big cities and for the poor kid hero's to be like Batman to rid the bad guy's was worth a try. As for the drug dealers and gangs, Why can't they learn from the Gambino crime family? The Gambino's faces hit the pavement!
