Summer may be slowly winding down, but that doesn't mean you can't have a taste of that New England lobster shack year round. This map will help you find lobster rolls in New York City, Maine, Connecticut, or California if you still have a few weekend getaways left. Brought to you by Tony Green, a man who is slightly obsessed with the crustacean creation, it does contain a few spots that have been shuttered (Bar Minnow, for example), but is otherwise a helpful resourse for those moments you need your lobster roll fix.
Let us know if he left any out -- it's looking like Queens is a little barren on the lobster roll front.

The Maine map is missing Thurston's Lobster Pond in Bernard (Mount Desert Island).

The Fairway Market in Red Hook is missing from the NYC map. Its down the street from Ikea and the lobster roll is $9 with chips and a salad.
Go to Marys Fish Camp for a Lobster Roll - but only if you want to experience food poisoning!!
Tony Green says in his blog that $14.95 is about the highest price he's seen for a roll. Wait till he goes to Pearl--27 bucks!
sheepshead bay: is jordan's still there? worth going to?
I had the best lobster roll back in June in Mystic, CT at Costello's Clam Shack. Perfectly grilled bun, generous lobster salad with a bit of mayo, nothing else. Had a not as good lobster roll in Point Judith, RI at Champlin's Seafood Deck near the ferry to Block Island in July, cold bun, light count on the salad with romaine lettuce under it to make it look bigger. The lettuce spoils the taste.
But how do you guys know that's real lobster in that lobster roll? could be crab meat with lobster flavor.
Fish Tales on Court Street in Boerum Hill sells an awesome cold lobster roll for 20 bucks. Generous portion of lobster, totally worth it!
Stew Leonard's in Yonkers (the quirkiest supermarket in the country) has great lobster rolls, for just $4.99 each. Go to the seafood counter and they're to the left of the seafood salad section. Or 2-fers are in a refrigerated case at the end of the seafood section for $9.98. Or make your own. Stew's has the cheapeat lobster salad in the area, at $18.99 a pound, and then pick up a package of potato hot dog rolls and "roll your own."
Chopped Carolina pork barbecue is great on a roll but lobster? No way ...at todays prices I want it cooked to perfection with trad lemon butter on the side.
