Barack Obama Has Chosen VP, But Doesn't Say Who

Barack Obama has made his choice for his running mate, but told reporters, "I won't comment on anything else until I introduce our running mate to the world. That's all you're going to get out of me." Obama plans to kick off the VP announcement with a rally in Springfield, IL tomorrow afternoon. CNN reports that Obama did call "some people on his shortlist for the vice presidential slot Thursday night to tell them he had not selected them as a running mate," but it's unknown who got the call. The AP, which thinks the announcement is "hours away," says that Chet Edwards, a representative from Texas, is allegedly on the shortlist. As for John McCain, his people may be leaking that his VP choice is Mitt Romney.

Any story on this blog that doesn't satisfy any reader can be skipped. If there were only one or two posts per day, I could see it being frustrating, but there's plenty of other stories to choose from.
