In Delaware Park, in the wonderful City of buffalo, there is a pond called Hoyt Lake, named after Sam's father who helped preserve it forty years ago. That lake is filled with trash, algae blooms, and storm sewer runoff. Fitting tribute.

just_saying, thanks. I did mean Sam, who will have to do a lot more to erase Dan Hoyt's presence from my mind. Assemblyman Hoyt is off to a good start, though.
