i dont know about a WHOLE mad dog channel... i am totally uninterested in satellite radio (even moreso after this move) and i am a fan of mike and the mad dog....

satellite radio is a waste of money. If you want news, weather, traffic, sports tune to the local stations if you want music use your mp3 player.

Between cable, internet, print, terrestrial radio, iPods, etc. I don't think I can consume any more media. I like commercial-free radio that I don't lose when I drive from here to somewhere else. The talk/sports/whatever is the same as you can get on traditional medial

#2, I was an avid listener/watcher of Mike and the Dog for years and years, but their lack of attention to the NHL (especially in a good hockey city) always drove me nuts. They literally said they have no interest in the sport. Only on certain occasions they would have an interview with Gary Bettman or someone from the Rangers or Islanders front office... I think Francesa will have to pay some attention to the NHL now that he has 5+ hours to kill.

I only hear satellite with the occasional car rental. And even then, I get bored pretty fast. For sports programming, like baseball games, I can understand the appeal. But for genre-driven music -- I can "program" that myself.
