  • A baby was found in a gym bag on a Hempstead street corner. Police had received a 911 call about it--the baby was taken to the hospital and is in good condition.
  • A Bronx couple is grieving over their daughter's apparent death. The 12-year-old had been hiking along the Niagara River when she slipped in; her body has not been recovered yet.
  • Phase IV of the Riverside Park South plan--the part between 59th and 63rd Streets--is open, complete with a 60-year-old locomotive engine.
  • Gossip Girl was filming at Columbia yesterday, the BWOG noted that for the show, the University is "supposed to be Yale."
