OMG people leave the girl alone, when they try covering more frivolous topics it's bad because it's too Gawker-esque, if they try covering serious topics it's not relatable and OT. Enough with the complaining, this is a blog not CNN. On second though maybe it was not such a good idea to compare the too, since anything is better then CNN (Faux being the exception).

Actually, given the sizable Pakistani population this is a very big deal for NYC. My Brooklyn nabe yesterday held its annual massive Pakistan Independence Day street festival. (I couldn't stop by, so I don't know if the word of his resignation literally-n-figuratively hit the streets at the same time.)

Gothamist: we do read other news sources. You don't have to cover everything that happens in the world. We come here for news related to New York and to all have a good ole fashioned bitching session. Sometimes ideas are exchanged and sometimes a troll throws in a racist remark. Oh the rich tapestry... but it's a New York tapestry!
